Alderton is a small village that is located on the Deben Peninsula and is set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village can be reached by heading South East on the B1083 from Woodbridge following signposts to Bawdsey. We are neighboured by the villages of Hollesley, Shottisham, Ramsholt and Bawdsey.
The village has a Post Office and village shop, the Swan public house, a doctors surgery, allotments, a bowls club, a childrens football team, adventure playground and playing fields. The village church is St Andrew's and it has a ruined steeple that was damaged in the 18th century.
